Located at Virginia Avenue and the Boardwalk, the Taj Mahal is the city's first multi-billion dollar casino. It's still the Sultan of the Boardwalk for now, but the imminant arrival of the Pier at Caesars and the House of Blues are sure to challange the throne. The gaming hall At the Taj covers 152,000 square feet, offering more than 4,429 slot machines and nearly 250 gaming tables, including 68 poker tables and a state-of-the-art simulcast facility. Gaming at the Taj is among the best in the city, despite what may be considered gaudy and loud interior décor inside the casino. Nevertheless, when the sun goes down, the décor is overshadowed by droves of people from all over the globe, from high-rollers and sexy cocktail waitresses, to the average elderly slot player and packs of twenty-somethings crowding the Blackjack tables. The Poker room is particularly lively, offering lots of action in a comfortable, elegant room. In fact, the poker room was featured in the 1998 film, "Rounders," starring Matt Damon and Edward Norton. The gaming hall is general well balanced between table games and slot machines. Expect a crowd on weekends, especially in summer, causing a scarcity in low limit tables. The 51-floor hotel consists of 1,250 guestrooms, including 34 non-smoking rooms. Other amenities include an indoor swimming pool, gift shops, cocktail lounges, eight restaurants, live entertainment, a fitness center, multi-lingual services and banquet facilities, to name a few. The Taj has plenty of dining options available. A particular favorite is the Hard Rock Café, located right next door on the Boardwalk. There are also gourmet restaurants inside the complex such as the Safari's Steak House, or more casual eateries such as the Sultan's Feast international buffet. The Taj also provides headline entertainment at the lavish Xanadu Showroom and the popular Princess Lounge. The most popular nighttime attraction at the Taj is undoubtedly the Casbah. On weekend nights the line can get outrageous, but it usually worth the wait. Lots of hot bodies pack the dance floor and boogie till dawn.
Always happy when coming to this casino. I have been loyal to the Trump Taj for over 4 years. Always love that there are enough games and tables available so you don’t have to wait to play. I also love that Taj offers more cashbacks and incentives to keep returning than other casinos. I will always ....Click Here for the full review
