 The
Art Institute of Chicago has announced that tickets
are now on sale for Manet and the Sea, the highly
anticipated first exhibition devoted to the
seascapes of Edouard Manet, the artist often referred
to as the “Father of Impressionism.” On view from
October 20, 2003—January 19, 2004, the exhibition is
expected to draw over 300,000 people.
